About me
background
I graduated as an industrial engineer and worked for a big Spanish oil company before changing direction and starting as a photographer. A big change that I have never regretted! Actually, my first client as a photographer was Repsol, my previous employer, they gave me an opportunity that I will always thank them for.
A few years later I moved to Buenos Aires and worked for a year as a photo assistant and later as a principal photographer in a reputable Advertising & Automotive photography studio. In 1999, I returned to Madrid where I’m based nowadays.
free time
I’m crazy about my family and try to spend as much time as I can with them. We enjoy the Spanish countryside, specially the province of Soria where my family comes from, so we try hard to run away from the city almost every weekend. If you have a look at my Instagram you will see some of my weekend shots!
Photography is not only my profession but has always been my passion. Whenever I find the time, I research about History of Photography and experiment with old photo techniques and chemicals processes… I can still feel the magic of it.
my style
I admire so many photographers that the list would be infinite.
Jim Fiscus is one of my most admired photographers, his powerful visual narrative is just perfect. The bizarre daily scenes by Marcos López fascinate me. The creativity and artistry of Sasha Goldberger has taught me a lot. Loretta Lux’s children portraits can hypnotize me for hours. And Andrej Dragan dramatic atmospheres and portraits take my breath away.
Great Masters of painting such as Caravaggio, Goya, Sorolla, Botticelli, Brueghel or Holbein inspire me for my personal work. It’s such a luck to have the Prado Museum here in Madrid, I could spend days inside just looking.

Advertising can be such an stressful profession that you can forget about the nice things. My work philosophy aims at creating a smooth atmosphere and team work so we all enjoy what we do, and remember what we love about our jobs.
Smiling, empathy, having a proactive approach, finding solutions, building trust and delivering quality are my goals.
